The Product Manager (PM) is the primary P&L owner of one or more Ex Libris products. The PM is responsible for working with Customers, Ex Libris management, development and services to understand market requirements, define product requirements and package the features into product releases. The PM maintains the product strategy and road map, based on customer demands, market trends, competitive analysis, internal growth strategies and profitability targets.
The position works closely with key customers, development partners, sales, marketing, implementation services, support and corporate and regional management.
Primary Responsibilities: • Determine and maintain the overall product strategy and roadmap • Maintain product feature lists based on customer input, market trends, competitive analysis and internal input from sales and support • Develop and maintain the Product Requirement Document (PRD), grouping product requirements into a release schedule, based on the overall product roadmap and priorities • Maintain in-depth competitive analysis and determine product positioning Management the development partner processes • Ensure all product booking targets are met on a global basis • Serve as primary product expert and advocate for the product at industry and user events • Support sales through presentations, customer meetings and helping with RFI’s • Work closely with the product marketing manager in the preparation of sales collateral, product presentations, go-to-market strategy, competitive Analysis, and other marketing materials
